We have provided you with a detailed manual, specific to this home. You will also find our house rules attached.

LIVING ROOM

As you first open the door to The Amelie House, you are greeted by our open-plan dining, living and kitchen room. Below you will find the main highlights on how to operate the main aspects of our living room.

  • Our home comes with high speed wifi, perfect for streaming your favourite shows and sports! The details can be found below:

  • The air conditioning and heating system is currently undergoing maintenance and is unavailable at the moment. Portable fans and heaters are provided in the apartment for your stay.

  • Our living room comes with an Samsung Smart TV. Please see the instructions below on how to operate the TV.

    • The remote labelled “SAMSUNG” will operate the tv.

    • The "Home" button, which is situated in the middle of the remote and is drawn as a house, is the main way of navigating between streaming services such as Netflix, Stan, Amazon prime etc when the TV is turned on.

    • The official e-manual can be found under the support area of the TV's settings choices if you need further in-depth instructions.

    Please note we do not provide any Netflix or other accounts, you will need to log into your own accounts for use

    Please always remember to log out on departure. Getawayz NSW is not responsible for any additional bills or payments made on your account if you forget to log out.

KITCHEN

Our home comes with a fully equipped kitchen which is perfect for family meals when you feel like staying in. Here you will find the main highlights on how to operate our kitchen.

  • Welcome to the culinary heart of our home, featuring a top-of-the-line Miele oven. Mastering home-cooked meals is easy with this kitchen marvel. Here's how to get the most out of your cooking experience:

    Temperature and Functions: Explore a range of cooking methods by adjusting the knobs on the far left. From fan force to grilling, select your preferred function effortlessly.

    Timer and Temperature Adjustment: Fine-tune your cooking process using the buttons on the right side of the knob. Set up a timer for precise cooking intervals or adjust the temperature by pressing "+" and "-".

  • Our main home comes with a user-friendly 5-burner gas stove designed for effortless cooking. Operating it is a breeze:

    • Heat Adjustment: To use the stove, hold down the knob and turn it to the left to achieve your desired heat level. The intuitive design ensures easy temperature control for your cooking needs.

    • Safety Reminder: After use, ensure the knob is turned fully back to the right. This step is crucial to prevent any potential gas leakage, ensuring your safety and the safety of your home.

  • Our home comes with a Dishwasher. We ask that you make sure all the dishes and kitchen items are run in our dishwasher prior to your departure.

    The Getawayz NSW team will leave ample dishwashing tablets for you to use. If we are running low, please advise us and we will replace these for the next guests.

    The instructions on how to use the dishwasher are below:

    • Simply press the On/Off button on the far right to switch on the dishwasher.

    • Next to the on/off button, you will see the different modes for cleaning. On departure, we ask that you use the “Quick 60” cycle as well as the extra dry button, located on the right. Our housekeeping & styling specialists will thank you for this!

  • Our kitchen comes complete with a Nespresso Machine and milk frother, perfect for the perfect cup in the morning. Getawayz NSW will provide you with ample coffee pods throughout your stay. If you prefer milk coffee over black coffee, you will need to provide your own milk for your stay.

    On departure, if the coffee pods are running low, please advise us and we will make sure to replace these for the next guests.

    Please see the instructions on how to use the Nespresso Machine below:

    • Other than turning on the Nespresso Machine at the powerpoint, the first thing to do is make sure there is enough water in the machine to make your desired coffee.

    • On the top of the Nespresso machine, there are two buttons to make coffee (the left is for short black, and right is for long black). Behind this is the switch to power the machine. Simply press this down and it will turn on the machine. The buttons mentioned above will flash until ready to be used.

    • Simply place the pod in the machine and pull the silver latch down. This will make your coffee.

    • Please remember to not overfill the pod tray.

other amenities

Our home is full of all the amenities that you, your friends family and your chosen family could ask for. Below we have listed the other amenities available for you and your family to use throughout your stay!

  • Meet our Weber BBQ, located on our outdoor entertaining area and is perfect for family entertaining.

    Operating it is as easy as holding and turning the knob to the left. The upper knob ensures even overall cooking, while the lower one masters the art of grilling. For additional lighting instructions, check the attached guide located conveniently on the right-hand side of the BBQ.

    We provide a gas bottle which will be connected for you throughout your stay and there will be a spare located on the right side of the home if you need to switch this over.

    If you do replace the gas, please let Getawayz NSW know and we will make sure to change this over when you have departed.

    We ask if you use the BBQ, this must be cleaned prior to your departure. If this is not done, an additional $50 surcharge will be charged from the bond or claimed via the platform you have booked the home,

  • Our home comes with a dryer for you to use throughout your stay. It’s one of the easiest white goods in the home to use.

    • Simply turn the dial to switch on. Turn the dial to your selected program, press the start/pause button on the far right and the dryer will do the rest!

    • If using this multiple times throughout your stay, please make sure to empty the lint filter after each use!

  • Our home comes with an internal laundry for you to use whilst you stay with us. The washing machine is located on your first left after entering the house.

    Open the drawer located on the far right and insert the washing powder or detergent into the left tray and close.

    To use the machine turn it on with the power button at the far left.

    To chose from the programs simply twist the knob to your desired programs for washing.

    On the right hand side, you can see around the screen different options for the cycle you have selected, including wash temp, water level and spin speed.

    To start the cycle, simply press the start/pause button located on the left of the power button.

  • The fuse box at this property is located in the laundry room on the right side., in a white box.

    Should power not be working, please check the fuses in the fuse box and flick all to “on” if one of the fuses has blown, or been switched to “off”. There is a torch located in the laundry (middle door of the pantry), on the trolley next to the washer and dryer.

    If all the switches are on, this is most likely a local power outage and there is nothing Getawayz can do to rectify the issue (as much as we would like to help)! We would highly recommend downloading the app “power outages NSW” and checking this.

    Another great option is to call Origins Energy Info Line on 13 10 03 which will let you know the suburbs that have been affected, the duration (approx) of the outage. You will need to provide the postcode, which is 2260.

    If there is not a local outage and you are still receiving issues, please contact the Getawayz NSW Operations Manager Louis on 0411 870 991. For any issues after 9pm, we will attend first thing in the morning, if power is not returned to the home.

  • Getawayz NSW ensures that each property has working fire alarms, and undergo regular fire safety inspections.

    Please be mindful to use the range hood in the kitchen, and to abide by the ‘no-smoking’ house rule.

    There is a fire extinguisher and fire blanket in the drawer on the right side of the fridge, for emergencies. Please notify Getawayz NSW if this is used.

    In the case of a fire, prioritise the safety of all guests in the home, and then immediately call the fire department via +000 on your phone.

    Please report any near misses or incidents to us. Your safety is of utmost importance!

  • Bins for our home are kept in the garage on the right side facing the elevator.

    The recycling bin is the yellow bin and red is for general rubbish. Please make sure you use the correct bins for the correct materials.

    Bins are collected Friday morning, so we ask that you leave these out on a Thursday evening and collect these from the street if you are staying on Friday. If you are checking out on Thursday, our housekeeping and styling team will collect these on your behalf.

    If the bin instructions are not followed (including taking these out on the correct night - we will send you a reminder on the evening) there will be a $100 surcharge taken from the bond or the platform you have booked on.

  • Getawayz NSW has staff available 7 days a week, from 8am - 9pm.

    • Please email us at guests@getawayz.com.au for any enquiries during business hours.

    • Alternatively, you can contact us via your booking platform.

    Any contact outside of business hours will be responded to from 8am onwards, the next day of business.

    Please note that we take all inquiries from guests very seriously, and do our best to respond in a timely manner.
