House Rules
LIVING ROOM / flex room
Our home features a flex room as well as an open-plan living room, dining and kitchen. Below you will find the main highlights on how to operate the main aspects of our living room & flex room.

Both our flex room and living room come with a JVC Smart TV which has access to free to air TV as well as an abundance of smart apps. Please see the instructions below on how to operate the TV.
There is one smart remote to operate the TV. The remote has a red symbol in the top left corner, this will turn the tv on/off.
When turning on the TV, the main way to navigate between the different options (free to air and the applications) is through the Home button that has a house symbol, located top right of the main selection button.
To select between different applications simply scroll along the bottom row and press the middle button to select as well as there being Netflix, Youtube, Prime video and google play buttons underneath the main selection buttons.

Please always remember to log out on departure. Getawayz NSW is not responsible for any additional bills or payments made on your account if you forget to log out.

One of the highlights and centrepieces of our living room is the slow-burning combustion fireplace. Getawayz NSW will provide you with enough kindling, firestarters and firewood for your stay.
On arrival, the fireplace will be set for you and there will be a fire lighting torch in the basket with the spare firefighters, kindling and wood. Simply set the fire and you will be toasty and warm in no time.
We kindly ask that you do not remove the ash from the fireplace throughout your stay, if you can simply re-set a new fire ontop of this. Our housekeeping and styling team will look after this during the changeover.
On the departure of your stay, if you can let us know if any of these amenities are running low, we would highly appreciate this. We will replace these for the next guests to use.

The living room has Dyson heaters unit to keep you comfortable during your stay. We ask that you kindly turn off when you are not home.
Operating our heater is a breeze! To start, simply press the lower button once. The default temperature will display on the top screen.
Use the grey remote for further accessibility. By pressing the "+" button you will increase the heat and the "-" button to decrease it.
Need to adjust the speed? Just press the speed logo button until you reach your desired setting. Enjoy personalised warmth at your fingertips!

KITCHEN
Our home comes with a fully equipped kitchen which is perfect for family meals when you feel like staying in. Here you will find the main highlights on how to operate our kitchen.

This kitchen is outfitted with an AEG oven for your use:
OVEN
The right knob allows you to effortlessly adjust the temperature settings, while the left knob provides a seamless selection of different cooking programs. With this intuitive design, cooking becomes a pleasure, and creating culinary masterpieces has never been easier.
GAS STOVE
This gas stove is operated by dials located along the bottom.
Experience effortless cooking with our stove's five knobs – two on the left and three on the right. Simply press, hold, and turn left to set your desired flame level. It's cooking made easy.
Once done, please make sure the knob is back to the right as far as possible to make sure gas doesn’t leak

This property is equipped with an BOSCH automatic dishwasher. Dishwashing tablets, liquid, or powder will be provided.
To operate this dishwasher, please:
To power on the dishwasher press the power button on the far left.
To select the mode press one of the 6 buttons on the right
To start the machine press the Start/Pause button on the far right, a red light on the right corner wil turned on.
On departure, we ask that you use the “Quick 60” cycle as well as the extra dry button, located on the right. Our housekeeping & styling specialists will thank you for this!

Our kitchen comes complete with a Delonghi Nespresso Machine and Smeg milk frother, perfect for the perfect cup in the morning. Getawayz NSW will provide you with ample coffee pods throughout your stay. If you prefer milk coffee over black coffee, you will need to provide your own milk for your stay.
On departure, if the coffee pods are running low, please advise us and we will make sure to replace these for the next guests.

Other than turning on the Nespresso Machine at the powerpoint, the first thing to do is make sure there is enough water in the machine to make your desired coffee.
On the top of the Nespresso machine, there are two buttons to make coffee (the left is for short black, and right is for long black). To power the machine simply press either button and it will turn on the machine. The buttons will flash until ready to be used.
Simply place the pod in the machine and pull the black latch down. This will make your coffee.
Please remember to not overfill the pod tray.

Ensure the appliance is plugged in and switched on by the wall.
Fill the carafe with reference to the level indicators inside the carafe, and place lid on before operation.
Twist the knob to to select the desired program, and simply press the Start/Stop button to start the cycle.
After use please ensure to rinse the carafe and dry before placing back in the base.

It is simple to use by pressing one of the buttons on the right side panel, where you can choose the programme that you want, such as defrosting, softening, melting, etc. Press one of those, then click the Start button to start it.

SMART TV
Our Master bedroom comes with a JVC Smart TV which has access to free to air TV as well as an abundance of smart apps. Please see the instructions below the living room section.
FAN
Some of the bedrooms are equipped with an electric fan that is very simple to use. Press one of the buttons numbered 1 to 3 to set the fan's speed as you wish.
HEATERS
The bedrooms have heaters unit to keep you comfortable during your stay. We ask that you kindly turn off when you are not home.
Operating our heater is a breeze! To start, simply press the upper button once. The default temperature will display on the top screen. Use the "+" button to increase the heat and the "-" button to decrease it.
Need to adjust the speed? Just press the "MODE" button until you reach your desired setting. Enjoy personalised warmth at your fingertips!

Our home comes with a front loader BOSCH washing machine for you to use throughout your stay. Please see below how to operate the washing machine:
Insert the washing powder or detergent into the left tray and close.
To power on the machine there is a power button on the left side of the knob. Simply press to turn the machine on/off and you will see the screen turning on.
To chose from the programs simply twist the knob in the middle to your desired programs for washing.
On the right hand side, you can see different options for the cycle you have selected, including wash temp, water level and spin speed.

To start the cycle, simply press the start/pause button located at the left side of the knob.
To power on the machine simply twist the knob in the middle. This also serves as the programs option therefore, twist to your desired drying program.
To start the cycle, simply press the play/pause button located at the right hand side of the knoob.

Our Electric BBQ is located on the left side of our outdoor space and is perfect for family entertaining. Please follow the steps below to operate:
Make sure the powerpoint is plugged in and switched on.
Once the BBQ is open, on the right side, there is a knob. Simply twist it to the right until you reach your desired temperature level.
After use, ensure that the knob is set back to 0, and the powerpoint is switched off.
We kindly request that if you use the BBQ, it must be cleaned before your departure. Failure to do so may result in an additional $50 surcharge, which will be deducted from the bond or claimed via the platform through which you booked the home.

The fuse box at this property is located next to the front door.
Should power not be working, please check the fuses in the fuse box and flick all to “on” if one of the fuses has blown, or been switched to “off”.
If all the switches are on, this is most likely a local power outage and there is nothing Getawayz can do to rectify the issue (as much as we would like to help)! We would highly recommend downloading the app “power outages NSW” and checking this.
Another great option is to call Origins Energy Info Line on 13 10 03 which will let you know the suburbs that have been affected, the duration (approx) of the outage. You will need to provide the postcode, which is 2026.
If there is not a local outage and you are still receiving issues, please contact the Getawayz NSW Operations Manager Louis on 0411 870 991. For any issues after 9pm, we will attend first thing in the morning, if power is not returned to the home.

Please note that our home does not have a designated car spot. There is only paid meter street parking available in front of the house. The pricing and time limits for parking may vary depending on the date. If you would like to secure parking for your stay, you can apply for a visitor's permit from the council using the following link: Visitor's Permit.

Bins for our home are kept on the right outdoor side after entering the property first gate.
The recycling bin is the yellow bin and red is for general rubbish. Please make sure you use the correct bins for the correct materials.
Bins are collected Wednesday morning, so we ask that you leave these out on a Tuesday evening and collect these from the street if you are staying on Wednesday. If you are checking out on Tuesday, our housekeeping and styling team will collect these on your behalf.
If the bin instructions are not followed (including taking these out on the correct night - we will send you a reminder on the evening) there will be a $100 surcharge taken from the bond or the platform you have booked on.

In the event of minor injury, a complete first aid kit is available, stored underneath the kitchen sink.
Please contact us if you use any supplies in this kit, so we can replace them.
