Thank you for choosing to stay at the Headlands house. The Getawayz NSW Team welcomes you into our home, and hope you enjoy your stay!
For any queries throughout your stay, please contact us, and include the property code “SYD027” in your message. You can reach us at guests@getawayz.com.au, or via your booking platform.
We have provided you with a detailed manual, specific to this home. You will also find our house rules attached.

House Rules
LIVING ROOM
As you first open the door, you are greeted by our open-plan dining, and living room. Below you will find the main highlights on how to operate the main aspects of our living room.

Our home comes with high speed wifi, perfect for streaming your favourite shows and sports! The details can be found below:

One of the main features in our living room is the gas fireplace, which is very easy to use.
The remote control for the fireplace is located on the right side of the unit.
To turn on the fireplace, simply press the red button directly underneath the LED screen.
Once the system is on, it will display different modes. To change the temperature or select the effect-only mode, follow these instructions:
Click the button labeled 'Menu'.
Press the Up or Down button until you reach the section labeled 'Thermo'.
When 'thermo' is flashing, press the button labeled 'Select'.
It will display either 'on/off' above the room temperature. 'Off' means it's on effect-only mode, and 'on' means it's heating the home to the set temperature in the top right corner. Switching between modes is simple. Press either the up or down button, and once your desired mode is selected, press 'Select'.
If you choose to heat the home, after selecting 'on', the set temperature will begin flashing. To change the temperature, use the up arrow to increase or the down arrow to decrease. Once you've set your desired temperature, press 'Select'.
Please remember to turn off the fireplace when leaving the property. Thank you!

Our living room comes with a 65 INCH Samsung Smart TV which has access to free to air TV as well as an abundance of smart apps. Please see the instructions below on how to operate the TV.
There is once smart remote to operate the TV. The remote has a red symbol in the top left corner, this will turn the tv on/off.
When turning on the TV, the main way to navigate between the different options (free to air and the applications) is through the Home button that has a house symbol, located top right of the main selection button.
To select between different applications simply scroll along the bottom row and press the middle button to select as well as there being Netflix, Youtube, Prime video and google play buttons underneath the main selection buttons.
Please note we do not provide any Netflix or other accounts, you will need to log into your own accounts for use
Please always remember to log out on departure. Getawayz NSW is not responsible for any additional bills or payments made on your account if you forget to log out.

AIR CONDITIONING
The living/dining and bedrooms on the main first floor has a Daikin deducted air conditioning units to keep you comfortable during your stay. We ask that you kindly turn off when you are not home.
Use the top right hand button to turn the system on. The screen should show the current set temperature
To change the temperature use the arrows located in the middle.Either press the up to increase or the down to decrease.
If you would like to change the mode use the button “MODE” on the top left. Continue to click until you get to your desired mode.
To change the fan speed use the button with the “FAN” logo. Continue to click until you get to your desired speed
You may access the main menu and locate advanced settings, such as quick start, scheduling, etc, by pressing the arrow in the centre of the panel.
KITCHEN
Our home comes with a fully equipped kitchen which is perfect for family meals when you feel like staying in. Here you will find the main highlights on how to operate our kitchen.

Our main home is equipped with a commercial-grade oven and a 5-burner stove top combination, perfect for preparing home-cooked meals. Here are the instructions for using the oven and stove:
Oven:
The knob on the far right is used to select the desired oven setting, such as fan force, grill, oven grill, bake, etc.
The third knob from the left is for setting the oven temperature. Simply adjust the knob to the desired temperature.
Stove:
The far left knob controls the top left burner. To activate, push down and twist the knob left.
The second left knob controls the bottom left burner. To activate, push down and twist the knob left.
The middle knob controls the middle burner. To activate, push down and twist the knob left.
The third right knob controls the top right burner. To activate, push down and twist the knob left.
The second right knob controls the bottom right burner. To activate, push down and twist the knob left.
Please ensure to turn off the stove once you have finished using it. Happy cooking!"

Our home is equipped with an Miele Dishwasher. We kindly request that you ensure all dishes and kitchen items are loaded into the dishwasher before your departure.
The Getawayz NSW team will provide an ample supply of dishwashing tablets for your use. Should the supply run low, please inform us, and we will replenish it for the next guests.
Here are the instructions on how to use the dishwasher:
Press the main power switch and close the door to turn on the dishwasher.
Use the Program selector to choose your desired program. The corresponding symbol will light up.
Press the Start/Stop button to initiate the selected program. The display will flash three times, indicating the program has started.
Ensure the door is properly closed; otherwise, the dishwasher will not start. The display will indicate if the door is open.

It is simple to use by pressing one of the buttons on the right side panel, where you can choose the programme that you want, such as defrosting, softening, melting, etc. Press one of those, then click the Start button to start it.

Every Getawayz home is equipped with a Nespresso machine and milk frother. Complimentary coffee pods are provided for your visit.
When using the Nespresso machine:
Ensure the machine has adequate water, and is turned on at the powerpoint.
There are buttons to make different sized coffees on the top of the machine. After turning the machine on, these buttons will flash until the machine is ready for use.
When ready, place the pod in the machine and pull the silver latch down. Then press the button corresponding to your desired size of coffee.
Please regularly empty out the discarded pods from the machine.
If you prefer milk in your coffee, we request that you supply your own milk for your visit.

Indulge in the perfect wine experience during your stay with our accessible wine fridge located on the left side when entering the kitchen. Designed to preserve your favourite vintages at the ideal temperature, this sleek appliance ensures your wines are ready to be enjoyed at their finest.

BOSH WASHING MACHINE
"Our home is equipped with a front loader Bosch washing machine for your convenience. Getawayz NSW will supply you with washing powder for your use. Here's how to operate the washing machine:
Open the drawer located on the far left and insert the washing powder or detergent into the left tray. Close the drawer.
To power on the machine, press the middle of the center knob. This button serves as the power switch.
Choose your desired washing program by twisting the knob to the appropriate setting.
On the right-hand side, you will find various options for the cycle you've selected, including wash temperature, water level, and spin speed.
To start the cycle, press the start/pause button located at the far right-hand side of the machine.
BOSH DRYER
Our home is equipped with a Bosch dryer for your convenience, which is one of the easiest appliances to use.
Here's how to operate the dryer:
To power on the machine, press the middle of the center knob to turn the machine on/off.
Turn the dial to select your desired program.
On the right-hand side, you can see different options for the cycle you have selected.
To start the cycle, simply press the start/pause button located at the far right-hand side.
If you use the dryer multiple times during your stay, please remember to empty the lint filter and water drawer after each use for optimal performance. If you have any questions or need assistance, feel free to reach out.

FANS
The bedrooms are fitted with a fan.
To use the fans use the white remote labelled.
To turn on the fans press the ON/OFF button on the top right.
To increase and decrease Press the top far left to decrease and the top middle to increase fan speed.

Bins for our home are kept on the right side entering the property.
The recycling bin is the yellow bin and red is for general rubbish. Please make sure you use the correct bins for the correct materials.
Bins are collected Wednesday morning, so we ask that you leave these out on a Tuesday evening and collect these from the street if you are staying on Wednesday. If you are checking out on Sunday, our housekeeping and styling team will collect these on your behalf.
If the bin instructions are not followed (including taking these out on the correct night - we will send you a reminder on the evening) there will be a $100 surcharge taken from the bond or the platform you have booked on.

Our Gas BBQ, situated on the main balcony off the living/dining area, is perfect for family entertaining.
We provide a connected gas bottle for your use throughout your stay, and there's a spare located on the left side of the home if you need to switch it over. If you do replace the gas, kindly inform Getawayz NSW, and we will arrange to switch it back after your departure.
Please ensure to clean the BBQ before your departure. Failure to do so will result in an additional $50 surcharge, which will be deducted from the bond or claimed via the platform through which you have booked the home.

There is an outdoor shower located on the right side of the front courtyard. We highly recommend using it after a day at the beach to remove as much sand as possible. This will help prevent bringing sand into the house, ensuring a more enjoyable and comfortable stay for everyone.

Getawayz NSW ensures that each property has working fire alarms, and undergo regular fire safety inspections.
Please be mindful to use the rangehood in the kitchen, and to abide by the ‘no-smoking’ house rule.
There is a Fire extinguisher and fire blanket underneath the Under the sink, for emergencies. Please notify Getawayz NSW if this is used.
In the case of a fire, prioritise the safety of all guests in the home, and then immediately call the fire department via +000 on your phone.
Please report any near misses or incidents to us. Your safety is of utmost importance!

The fuse box at this property is located on the right side of the property, down a small set of stairs
Should power not be working, please check the fuses in the fuse box and flick all to “on” if one of the fuses has blown, or been switched to “off”.
If all the switches are on, this is most likely a local power outage and there is nothing Getawayz can do to rectify the issue (as much as we would like to help)! We would highly recommend downloading the app “power outages NSW” and checking this.
Another great option is to call Origins Energy Info Line on 13 10 03 which will let you know the suburbs that have been affected, the duration (approx) of the outage. You will need to provide the postcode, which is 2096.
If there is not a local outage and you are still receiving issues, please contact the Getawayz NSW Operations Manager Louis on 0411 870 991. For any issues after 9pm, we will attend first thing in the morning, if power is not returned to the home.

In the event of minor injury, a complete first aid kit is available, stored underneath the kitchen sink.
Please contact us if you use any supplies in this kit, so we can replace them.

If a serious injury, emergency, or near-miss occurs at your home, please notify us at your earliest convenience.
